This laptop is operating under Kernel version 2.6.14-1.1656_FC4
Basic Installation of [Linux Distribution]:
Why to use Fedora Core 4? It’s not MS-Windows, it works, it costs no up-front dollars.
Obtaining Fedora Core 4? From fedora.redhat.com
Installing? Boot the first CD and sometimes add “noprobe” and “noacpi” to the kernel arguments.
Post-Install modifications/tweaks? Manually add ndiswrapper and Broadcom driver.
Setting up additional features for [Linux Distribution]
Getting Suspend-to-Disk to operate correctly? I added /etc/acpi/events/shutdown.conf to work with both the Power button and the lid close. It does a normal full shutdown. I ‘m building the swsusp kernel now.
Getting the touchpad to operate as more than a PS/2 mouse? Touchpad works fine as normal pointing device.
Unresolved issues
None at the moment.
Configuration Files
/etc/acpi/events/shutdown.conf
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg.wlan0
/etc/modprobe.conf
